Site-hardened attendance for UAE construction

IP66 face terminals at gate posts, palm-vein for gloved and dusty hands, per-project cost allocation and WPS-ready payroll monthly. Trusted at every site type from villa refurbishment to labour-intensive infrastructure.

Why construction sites are the hardest environment

UAE construction sites hit every constraint: outdoor heat and dust, workers in gloves, three-shift operations, per-project cost allocation, labour-camp bussing, contractor and subcontractor rotations, MOHRE inspections without notice. A system built for an office does not survive. Timesync's construction configuration is a specific deployment pattern with hardware and rules chosen for these conditions.

How Timesync survives site conditions

Every choice made because a softer setup failed at a real site.

IP66 outdoor terminals at gate posts

Weather-resistant, dust-rated to 60°C operating temperature, mounted with shaded hoods for direct sun exposure. Marine-grade coatings for coastal sites.

Palm-vein biometric for gloved and dusty hands

Fingerprint fails on construction workers within weeks (worn skin, dust, PPE gloves). Palm-vein reads reliably. Face capture as backup.

Per-project cost allocation

Each site or project carries a cost code. Finance sees exactly how many labour hours went into each project without spreadsheet reconciliation.

Contractor and subcontractor management

Contractor staff on time-boxed enrolments feeding the primary contractor's WPS cycle. Records segment per contractor for CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation).

Three-shift patterns for infrastructure work

24/7 project sites (metro, ports) on three-shift patterns with handover windows and overlap allowances.

MOHRE-inspection-ready records

Tamper-evident hash-chain records, per-worker sign-on/off, WPS-aligned exports. MOHRE inspectors and internal HSE teams accept the format.

Site types we typically configure

Villa and low-rise residential

Small crews, mobile-app-based attendance with GPS pinning per project. Foreman confirms crew present at each site.

High-rise and commercial

Site office terminal at ground floor, floor-supervisor mobile app for each level. Per-floor cost allocation.

Infrastructure (metro, ports, roads)

Multiple gates, three-shift patterns, hundreds of workers per shift, per-section cost allocation.

Labour-camp-based operators

Bus embarkation at camp plus site gate arrival, one record. See labour-camp solution page for detail.

Fit-out and interior contractors

Multiple client sites rotating weekly. Per-client-site cost centre attendance.

MEP and specialist trades

Technicians clocking against work orders. Job-card integration for time-per-task reporting.

Construction-site attendance questions

Why not fingerprint for construction workers?

Construction wears fingerprints in weeks. Manual work erodes the ridges; concrete dust, plaster and chemical exposure make capture unreliable within one month. Palm-vein reads reliably even on damaged, dusty, gloved hands.

Can attendance handle multiple simultaneous sites?

Yes. Each site has its own terminal (fixed or portable). Records feed one central database with per-site cost allocation. Head office sees consolidated attendance; each site engineer sees only their crew.

Do you supply portable terminals for short-duration sites?

Yes. Battery-backed portable face terminals ship on wheeled carts, ready to deploy at any gate inside two hours. All events reconcile back to the same central database.

Can we allocate hours per project or per subcontractor?

Yes. Each punch carries a project or subcontractor code. Reports sum by code, so finance and CVR see exactly how many labour hours went into each unit.

Do you satisfy client attendance-reporting requirements?

Yes. We produce the client-side attendance export in whatever format your main contractor requires: CSV, PDF, Excel, or push to their attendance system via API.

How do you handle contractor and subcontractor staff?

Time-boxed enrolments with automatic expiry at contract end. Records segment per contractor for cost reconciliation and MOHRE inspection.
