HOW MASTER AND SLAVE DIFFERThe master (R2, Q2i, Kadex) holds the user database and transaction log, has the display and menu for enrolment, drives the lock relay and alarm, and carries the network link to Ingress. The slave (R2c, i-Kadex) has no database, no log, no network port and no enrolment. It captures a credential on the other side of the door and passes it to the master, which decides, logs and opens.

Common questions

How does the FingerTec R2c connect?
It supports RS-485. In UAE installations we normally run it on wired Ethernet, with Wi-Fi kept as the fallback where cabling is impractical.
What software runs the FingerTec R2c?
Managed through the master terminal under Ingress / TCMS V3. We connect the attendance data through to payroll and produce a WPS-ready export, so the punches become a payable file rather than a report someone has to retype.
Do you install and support the FingerTec R2c across the UAE?
Yes. We supply, install, configure, train your team and support it across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Call +971 54 707 9900 for a fixed written quote.
